TreeLand Farms
The TreeLand Farms is a program of GreenLagoon Enterprise to accomplish its objective of Nature Conservation in a sustainable approach. Reforestation, Preservation, Springs Protection and Wildlife Protection, some of our programs at TreeLand Farms, are of great interest to GreenLagoon and the Community that surrounds us. To accomplish our Conservation objectives, we have established several well difined subdivisions.
TreeLand Card & Carbon Neutral Initiative
In orden to fund great portion of our efforts, GreenLagoon is now selling the TreeLand Card to Nature Lovers, Travelers, Individuals, Students, Schools, Groups, Communities, Companies and Organizations that may be interested in investing in Reforestation and in Mitigation of Gas-Carbon Consumption Initiatives. Our goal is to plant 1,000,000 trees in our properties and contribute to decrease Global Warming. Funds coming from the sales of the TreeLand Cards, will allow us to purchase the trees, plant and maintain them for 6 years until maturity. Some of the procedes will be donated to www.HopeAndWellness4Kids.com, a program of GreenLagoon that contributes solving some of the needs of the kids in our community.
El Escondido Organic & Biological Gardens
One Sub-Division of TreeLand Farms is El Escondido Organic & Biological Gardens and it is a unique and special place of GreenLagoon Enterpirse, because is the heart of all Conservation & Preservation Programs of our TreeLand Farms for Reforestation & Reconstruction of the Cerro Chato Biological Corridor. It is our Eco-Sustainable and authentic Eco-Destination in Cerro Chato. GreenLagoon Enterprise has selected nearly 18 acres of its land in Cerro Chato to be dedicated to the development of an authentic sustainable Costa Rican Farm, Medicinal, Biological & EcoAdventure Gardens. This parcel is hidden in our property and enclosed by an exuberant primary forest and it is sourranded by tall trees protecting our reach Biodiversity. It is a sanctuary for wildlife, nature lovers, as well as for the scientific community who may want to contribute to the protection and preservation of different species of plants and animals that live here. When El Escondido is opened to those who love Nature, you will be able to experience an authentic local farm immersed in symbiosis with the Strictly Protected Wildlife Sanctuary there.
El Escondido is also of paramount importance for our interns of different disciplines, academies, careers, schools and universities who participate in our School of SustainEco & WWT Medicine (Sustainable Ecoturism, Wilderness-Wellness & Travel Medicine).
El Escondido provides organic food for our restaurants, community and will provide the medicinal plants for our GreenLagoon PhO Laboratory & WellnessMD Institue under development now.
Arenal Nature Conservation Park & Gardens .
GreenLagoon Falls Park & Lodge has created the ANC (Arenal Nature Conservancy) Park and Gardens. The Park & Gardens includes 3 Kms of Trails & Gardens through our property that culminates in the GreenLagoon, a lagoon in a creater of an extinct volcano, name Cerro Chato Volcano. It provides its guests a great option to enjoy the beautiful nature and nature activities while contributing to protection, preservation and conservation initiatives. The Trails also serve to provide the Nature History Tours by our company in Cerro Chato and also by Naturalist Guides of Tour Operators in our community.
Our committment to Nature Conservancy was one of the reasons that allowed us to qualify for a 3 level CST Certificate “Certificate of Sustainable Tourism”, awarded on June 26th, 2007 by the Costa Rica Tourism National Institute. This is an honor for our accomplishments, but also a great responsibility to carry on the committment we made to the social wellness, economic and cultural develpmenet of our community as well as our committment to protect Nature & Wildlife.
Hope And Wellness 4 Kids.
GreenLagoon is also involved with the local social, cultural and economic development of our community. GreenLagoon Springs & Water Management
This program has been created to Protect Our Property Springs and to Properly manage its waters. Our 5 natural springs are protected with The TreeLand Farms reforestation project to guarantee potable wáter, at the same time we are Re-Building the Cerro Chato Biological Corridor. GreenLagoon Signed an Agreement with the Community Water Management Organization of the Low Lands of Northern Zone, ASADARI. The purpose of this agreement is to protect the Springs which will provide potable water to thousands of people in communites that otherwise would not have drinking wáter. The agreement contemplate a joint effort between the Private Enterprise & The Commuity to Establish a Private Bottling Company.
Costa Rica Natural Springs Water.
A Bottling Company of GreenLagoon Enterpirse. Reforestation reassures us of eternal availability of drinking water for our communities of the low lands and future generations of the Northern Zone, as well as for the Spring Natural Water Bottling Company. The agreement between ASADARI, a local Water Management Association and GreenLagoon Enterpirse, mainly shares the responsability to reforest our springs, build a common Water Collecting System & Tank and the distribution of the wáter to the community and to our private water bottling company, which uses biodegradable bottles.
